This is the website for a 2017 pilot project on John Taylor, the Water Poet (1578-1653). It will focus on Taylor's journey around Wales in 1652. I am currently producing an annotated modern-spelling digital edition of his journey, which is now online here, and I will be tweeting his travels in real time during July, August and September from @DrJ_Gregory

More recently I've added a Facebook page and group for those who want to discuss the life and work of John Taylor.
I became interested in John Taylor while investigating early modern publications, and especially the way publishers and authors addressed readers at the start of their work.
I have used John Taylor's Works (1630), held in Cardiff University's Special Collections, as part of my research.
